A few months ago, I sat down with Rachel Allred, Founder of the TEDx club at the University of North Georgia (UNG). She was seeking a video producer for UNG's first TEDx event. I met her request with an offer to sponsor the event along with a personal end goal to get one of the talks featured on TED.com. The rest, as they say, was history.
The event was phenomenal. The speakers were engaging, the show was executed flawlessly, and everyone vibed really well. Simply walking into the event would put anyone at ease: gorgeous paintings and works of art all around, delicious hors d'oeuvres and desserts, and welcoming hosts who exuded passion for their campus organization.
We had three cameras total: two on the house floor, and one tucked up in the catwalk. We also had our photographer at the event capturing stills and operating the photobooth. During the editing process, we also decided that we simply could not submit the talks to TED without including a captivating intro.
The talks were submitted and went live within days. Scroll below to see all six speakers presenting on the event's guiding theme: perceptions.
